JOMA Construction was founded by John Newland CEO, along with a dedicated team of highly-skilled project managers, carpenters, and support staff. John and his wife Marielle (JOMA = John + Marielle) moved to Athens in 2001 and officially started the business in 2005, after 3 years of hands-on learning. Since then, we have had the opportunity to work on over 1000 remodeling projects in the Athens Area.
JOMA’s stellar reputation, including recognition from local and national organizations, stems from an abundance of experience in the process and procedures of building projects, as well as a passion for quality workmanship and customer service. Our motto at JOMA is: “building eudaimonia.” Eudaimonia, defined by “a contented state of being happy, healthy, and prosperous; the highest human good” is what motivates us here at JOMA Construction, not just for our own “human good,” but for yours as well. Before the build begins you work with Joma’s design team. Every step was easy and the design team worked seamlessly with the different area professionals. The tile, bathroom, flooring, paint, etc. all worked well. We did a complete basement build out with office, rec room, kitchenette, and guest room. It looks fantastic! We also repainted the rest of the existing three story home and redid all the floors. They were mindful of the budget the whole time.
